LEAGUE OF LEGENDS – CHAMPIONS
The world is not always as civilized as people might think. There are still those who would follow the blackest paths of magic and become corrupted by the darker powers that flow through Runeterra. Shauna Vayne knows this fact well.
As a young privileged girl in the heart of Demacia's elite, her father tried to convince her of the constabulary's ever-vigilant eye. Young and naive, she truly believed that her world was one of perfect safety, until one night, when a twisted witch took ...
There have always been those within Noxus who did not agree with the evils perpetrated by the Noxian High Command. The High Command had just put down a coup attempt from the self-proclaimed Crown Prince Raschallion, and a crackdown on any form of dissent against the new government was underway. These political and social outcasts, known as the Gray Order, sought to leave their neighbors in peace as they pursued dark arcane knowledge.
The leaders of this outcast society were a married ...
LEAGUE OF LEGENDS – SKINS
Judgment Kayle is rather unique in that it’s the only skin that gives clothes instead of armour to Kayle.
Still, the appearance is befitting of Kayle’s traditional implacable style.
The dark clothes are mute yet appealing and the decoration, while impractical, is finely designed.
The hood shadows her visage so at to reinforce her stern look which matches the austere and dented aspect of her sword.
Additionally, the contrasting tone of her wings as well as ...
Infiltrator Irelia is a disappointment, especially considering the impressive splash art that represents it.
The intricate armour ends up looking plain and uninteresting.
Even the design over the blades is simpler; not to mention that her hairstyle is the same as in Classic Irelia.
If we ignore the high standards set by the splash art the model on its own isn’t particularly exciting: it neither realizes the cyberpunk angle nor is it visually striking.
You could ...
Cowgirl Miss Fortune is a skin with a very specific appeal that relies on showing Miss Fortune’s lean figure with some Wild West sprinkled on.
From the waist up there’s nothing new, even Classic Miss Fortune shows as much cleavage.
However, the lower body presents us with a mix of chaps and jeans that manage to preserve the modesty of this bounty hunter; unlike the former inadequate incarnation.
The look isn’t unfitting for Miss Fortune’s playful and alluring ...
Zombie Ryze is Ryze as a zombie but in as a straightforward manner as possible.
That is, there is absolutely no doubt that it is Ryze: all his classic elements are present but in a tattered state.
In other words, his clothes, scroll, book and also his body clearly show the effects of decomposition; as if he had been buried in his classic form.
The general effect isn’t bad, though a little too explicit; especially the deformity of his face and exposed ...
Firefang Warwick is a skin that gives a great first impression that is able to hide most of its flaws.
The first noticeable thing is the flames over Warwick’s body.
They are a pleasant addition that masks the fact that Warwick’s body is unchanged from the waist down, except for textures, and that his chest is quite strange: his pectoral muscles seem flattened and extended in an unnatural way by the armour.
At least the skin furthers the fire theme with a new ...
Traditional Sejuani is a tribute to a concept that never was very convincing.
While an underdressed barbarian from the tundra makes for quite a statement on the physical prowess of the aforementioned it’s a concept with more fantasy than realism in it.
Of course, in the Fields of Justice the climate may be forgiving but it’s still rather unfitting.
In spite of that, the new model isn’t bad: Sejuani looks attractive, her flail lethal and Bristle lean yet ...
Almost-Prom King Amumu has an interesting execution because it’s a skin that gives logical proportions to his body parts; except the head obviously.
That makes the dinner suit a better fit for Amumu; it even looks quite form fitting regardless of his bandages.
The concept is a definite stretch and overall not particularly attractive.
So, while the execution is good it simply can’t avoid the limitations of the raw idea behind.
In the end, Almost-Prom King Amumu ...
Leona dressed as a Valkyrie is a good concept that is well executed.
Even if her body armour is lighter than usual her model is elaborate and original: every aspect of her is different from Classic Leona.
Each piece of armour contributes to the whole feel and provides an alternative novel look at the armour-heavy Leona.
At this price point it’s unusual to find such a nice and thorough model for a champion.
If you like Leona you should consider getting Valkyrie ...
Karate Kennen is effectively a full re-model that re-interprets Kennen as a classic martial artist.
The result is eloquent and eye-catching: the karategi looks correct and even has a pattern on the back to break the white monotony.
On top of that, this outfit reveals more of Kennen’s cute, furry physique; which looks rather nice.
The mask is a necessary complement to keep a bit of the anonymity necessary of his ninja theme; which evidently remains.
Human: Shyvana gives the impression of being an ice sorceress with a revealing outfit; which explains the lack of proper armour.
This also makes her look a bit frail but not powerless.
Actually, the design of her headdress and matching gauntlets evoke a sense of dexterity so that what she may lack in raw strength is made up by her agility.
The clothes may not suit a warrior but they do reinforce her supernatural talents and hint at more than meets the eye. Dragon: as ...
